signature pieces that have made Caroline Ballou a favorite designer with consumers, especially in the fashion sterling silver category.  Ehrhardt’s not only has her more recognizable jewelry suites, but also presents some of the newest designs in a section of their store reserved for jewelry designers.
“The beauty that Caroline Ballou creates is timeless and flowing, and Ehrhardt’s is pleased to have her line in our showroom,” commented Eric Ehrhardt, Executive Director of Ehrhardt’s Fine Jewelry.  “This collection is extremely popular, and we were selling her pieces as fast as we could display them.  It’s almost as if this was a planned experience.  I was impressed!”
Diane Webber, a customer who was one of the first to purchase a suite of Caroline Ballou Designs (bracelet, necklace, and earrings), explained her motivation.  “Her designs are not only exquisite, but are perfect for every aspect of my lifestyle.  They fit right in with my daily wardrobe, whether I am going to the gym or out to dinner.  I don’t have to try to color coordinate anymore!”  Other customers nodded in agreement.  “Besides,” added another shopper, “the prices for are better for me, and allows me to consider the whole package rather than just one pair of earrings or a bracelet in gold or platinum.  Her jewelry is not only nice, it’s fun!  I will definitely be buying more.”  The price for sterling silver fashion jewelry has always been popularly acceptable, but most designs were previously basic or less than inspiring.  Even some other designers tended to create jewelry that was more “artsy” than functional.
The popularity of white gold and platinum have awakened the desire in consumers for designer looks, but the cost factor of “collectable” jewelry hindered the sales of these precious items, especially in the economy of the Bay Area.  “Caroline Ballou delivers the high looks that are being asked for at a price that makes them widely attainable,” Ehrhardt says.  “Most of our customers appreciate our presentations of quality and value they find throughout our showroom, and the addition of this line is another response to our community.  Our continued success depends on carefully responding to the distinct needs of our patrons.”
The Caroline Ballou Collection can be seen at Ehrhardt’s Fine Jewelry in Diablo Plaza in San Ramon.  For particular items not on display, they can be specially ordered and receive expedited delivery (usually within a few days).  Ehrhardt’s Fine Jewelry is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
